How to receive and reply Twitter mentions in Slack

Updated 4 months ago by Floriane

By default, the Twitter integration allows you to receive and answerTwitter Direct Messages and Tweets you're mentioned in, and to  Send new tweets from the Slack channel.

If you're only interested in receiving (and replying if needed) the tweets you're mentioned in:

  1. Connect your Twitter account if you haven't done it yet.
  2. Go to your  settings page and click "Edit" next to your Twitter account.
  3. In the options, select "Receive Mentions only".
    You're done!
From now, every time you're mentioned in a tweet, the tweet is posted in the channel, from where you can answer it.

At the moment, if you're mentioned in a tweet longer than 140 characters, it won't be posted in the Slack channel.
We're actively looking for another system that should be implemented by the end of the summer.
If you'd like to be updated when this is fixed, please, send a message to our team, in a Slack DM or at

        How did we do?
